Economic Development

One major reason we currently enjoy the worst tax burden of 45 other states in the Country is our lack of attracting businesses to our state.  In fact our labor and corporate tax laws have forced many Maryland businesses to exit our state at a rapid rate.

When those businesses exit to other more business friendly states they take their tax revenue with them.  The net result is less revenue that must, ultimately be provided by Maryland citizens.

In order for us to provide financial relief and give our family funds back to Maryland families we must become a more business friendly state.

Attracting more business to Maryland will bring more jobs and revenues to the state without increasing taxes (family funds).

 a.      We must reach out to current business owners within our state and begin forming alliances

that will be beneficial to the development of a pro business environment.

b.      We must work to create the infrastructure that will promote a pro-business environment.

c.       We must analyze all anti-business legislation or laws that have traditionally hurt the

business climate and look to either modify or change them completely.

d.      We must look to create bi-partisan efforts to develop strategic plans to bring more

        businesses

into our state and actively seek out businesses and lobby them to consider making

        Maryland their home.
