CASE WORKER


REPORTS TO: Executive Director
STATUS: Full-Time Regular
LOCATION: Administrative Offices

SUMMARY
We are searching for caseworkers to help individuals in our at-risk communities. You will be responsible for meeting with and assessing the needs of our clients. In this role, you will be working with clients suffering from physical and mental illnesses who are vulnerable clients and those who are experiencing homelessness in the Laurel City community. We are looking for you being empathetic, but also able to set boundaries. You will need to listen actively and ask pertinent questions. You will also need to have strong communication and persuasion skills.

Required Qualifications

  • A bachelor’s degree
  • Two years providing casework or community organizational services in a public or private social service agency.
  • A second language

CUSTODIAN


REPORTS TO: Executive Director
STATUS:Part-Time Regular
LOCATION: Administrative Offices

SUMMARY
We are searching for a person for maintaining, cleaning, and disinfecting all areas of the facility. Perform basic cleaning, sanitation, and minor maintenance of an assigned area by sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, polishing and trash removal

Required Qualifications

  • Less than high school; no previous experience required.
  • Previous experience a plus

  • Ability to operate vacuums and other related equipment.
  • Ability to safely use cleaning equipment and supplies.
  • Ability to lift and manipulate heavy objects.

Physical Demands
  • Considerable physical activity. Requires heavy physical work; heavy lifting, pushing, or pulling required of objects up to 50 pounds. Physical work is a primary part (more than 70%) of job.
  • Work environment involves some exposure to hazards or physical risks, which require following basic safety precautions.
  • Work may involve moderate exposure to unusual elements, such as extreme temperatures, dirt, dust, fumes, smoke, unpleasant odors, and/or loud noises.

DONOR RELATIONS MANAGER

We are searching for a Donor Relations Manager responsible for managing the relationships between New Day and its donors. You’re tasked with identifying potential donors, cultivating those relationships, and ensuring that donations continue to flow into the organization’s coffers.

GRANTS MANAGER


REPORTS TO: Executive Director
STATUS: Full-Time Regular
LOCATION: Administrative Offices

SUMMARY
We are searching for a methodical and strategic grants manager to work with our New Day organization in enhancing our funding models, identifying new sources of funding and developing sustainable and effective grants programs.

Required Qualifications

  • High School Diploma Required/A.S. Finance or Accounting preferred
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel & Outlook.
  • Advanced knowledge of QuickBooks Pro for Non- profits.
  • Clear understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles.
  • Detailed oriented and capable of performing complete reconciliations and thoughtful analysis. Identifies errors and corrects them.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to work on multiple, complex projects simultaneously and see them to completion with minimal supervision.
  • Active driver’s license good driving record and reliable transportation.

LICENSED SOCIAL WORKER

SUMMARY
We are searching for Licensed Social Workers to provide emotional support for individuals and their families. Helping our clients in getting services by phone and in person. Getting clients interested in activities that are beneficial for them. Assessing our clients and gathering information that is relevant to helping them. Offering information and supporting clients and the families of theirs and making and contacting referrals to various other services and agencies.

Required Qualifications

  • Licensed Social Worker - current Maryland license is required
  • Valid Driver’s License

  • Ability to read, interpret and write complex and routine reports and correspondence.
  • Ability to speak effectively before groups of clients or employees of organization.
  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
