Food Distribution
Volunteers needed to help prepare food for distribution with Smiling Souls on second Friday of each month from 5:30 pm to 7:00 pm and again on the second Saturday of each month from 8:30 am to 11:00 am. Volunteer both days or if you are available on just one, your help will be appreciated. The pandemic has resulted in many more people needing food assistance. You can be a part of the effort and see their "Smiling Souls".

SUMMARY
We are searching for Accounting Assistant to support the Accounting department by performing clerical tasks. You will be processing and recording transactions, preparing reports and budgets, fielding communications with Treasurer, Board Members and Executive Director.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED certificate.
- Experience in recreation, hospitality, or a similar field (1+ years preferred)
- CPR certification (preferred)
- Valid driver's license.
- Flexible schedule.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills
- Bilingual a plus

We are searching for Activities Coordinator that is passionate about volunteer work to manage the moving pieces of our volunteer force. Hiring, recruiting, and placing volunteers, in addition to managing and training them. You need to be detailed oriented and be able to keep a detailed database of volunteer’s information, and skills to match them to opportunities that suit their skills.

We are searching for person to be an on-site resource to individual students and groups accessing computer technology; helps familiarize students with software; assists students in registering for classes, completing assignments, and orients students to the laboratory.

FUNDRAISING DIRECTOR

SUMMARY
We are searching for a person to be a Fundraising Coordinator is an unpaid virtual volunteer position. This role will assist with fundraising efforts to increase brand awareness and ultimately grow our community of donors. The objective is to spread our message and encourage our community of supporters to make donations to New Day Maryland. Upon marketing manager approval, access may be granted to use any appropriate digital marketing outlets (website, blog, newsletter, press releases, etc.) and/or social media channels to promote active fundraising campaigns, encouraging public support. Predetermined issues promoted by New Day Maryland include, ending people experiencing homelessness, and those who are vulnerable, enabling them to make a better life by learning new skills for employment and receiving needed resources for better health conditions.
Required Qualifications
- Nonprofit fundraising and/or event planning experience.
- Clear understanding of the unique needs of New Day
- Micro influencer with fundraising portfolio and large social media network is an asset.

We are searching for a person to interview clients to establish what services may assist them. You will assess clients and recommend appropriate treatment or services. Be responsible for connecting patients with various support services.
Required Qualifications
- Graduation from an accredited high school or possession of a high school equivalency certificate
- Six months of experience interviewing persons for the purpose of obtaining and verifying background or financial information
- Strong compatibility for customer service
- Working knowledge of office management and filing systems

RECUPERATIVE CARE NURSE
REPORTS TO: Executive Director

SUMMARY
We are searching for a volunteer nurse to work with the attending primary care provider and team to see patients efficiently, effectively and to provide nursing care, patient education and ensure safe delivery of treatments and medication.
Required Qualifications
- Current Maryland registered nurse license
- At least 21 years old
- Complete application process including orientation
- Ability to work with diverse populations and age groups

- Ability to work as an effective member of a dedicated team of volunteers and staff

SUMMARY
We are searching for clerks to ensure that inventory arrives on time, is undamaged, and is allocated to the proper areas. They keep thorough records of items shipped or received and track inventory changes in supply or demand. They'll additionally be responsible for maintaining a clean and safe stock room.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Minimum of one year of related warehouse experience required.
- Ability to read

- Understand and respond to written and verbal instructions in English for the purposes of safety, work instructions, policies,
